This recent publication in ACS journal showcases our ongoing collaboration with the group of Paolo Decuzzi, Director of the Laboratory of Nanotechnology for Precision Medicine at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Genova – Italy.
It is demonstrated that functionalizing the tPA at the surface of their Deformable Discoidal Polymeric Nanoconstructs maintains the thrombolytic properties while reducing it’s toxic side effect via preventing it from crossing the damaged blood-brain barrier.
